KTH Symposium on Art, Design & Science
A symposium for KTH researchers who share an interest in how creative and academic practices in art and design relate to overall scientific practices at KTH.
Tid: Fr 2012-03-30 kl 12.00 - 17.30
Plats: KTH Värmeverket
Its purpose is:
• to map the contribution from art and design to overall scientific practices at KTH
• to celebrate a new partnership in art and design between KTH and Konstfack
• to discuss the possible contribution of the arts to innovation and scientific practice, using interdisciplinary examples from Aalto University, EIT European Institute of Technology, the Society for Artistic Research and the Journal of Artistic Research (www.jar-online.net), a new peer‐reviewed journal being hosted by KTH
• to explore the potential for a sixth KTH Research Platform: in art and design
We invite researchers and PhD-students from all KTH schools to contribute a poster presentation of research at the intersection of art, design and science. Research prototypes and demos are also welcome. If you want to participate, please email Charlie Gullström (charlieg@kth.se) by March 1. A detailed programme and details regarding registration will be distributed shortly.
