Students’ Nobel Nightcap: Preparations in full swing!

While the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded in Oslo, all other prizes are presented right here in Stockholm. The ceremony take place in the Stockholm Concert Hall, with a banquet following in the City Hall.

In 1978, a new tradition started.  It was conceived as a continuation of the banquet’s celebration and has grown into a grand event that each year is coordinated by one of the four largest student unions in Stockholm: either Karolinska Institute, The Stockholm School of Economics, Stockholm University or KTH. While it’s a different school leading and hosting the event each year, students from all universities are invited to volunteer. This year, KTH has the honor of leading with the event hosted right at our very own Nymble student union building.

The entertainment planned is amazing and the work everyone is putting in is definitely showing, as the building will be almost unrecognizable by December 10th. However, due to the secrecy regarding the event’s theme and entertainment, those not volunteering at the event or holding tickets will not find out until December 11th.
