Time flies really fast and I noticed that I have only a few months left here in Stockholm. I brought with me a good amount of instant spices in fear of missing the Indonesian tasteful food and decided to use them up in the following months. Looking through the arsenal of spices, I noticed that I have a few sachets of ‘Soto Ayam’ (a yellowish chicken soup) left untouched and decided to make one.
Using the instant spices, boiled chicken and additional ingredients such as rice noodles, bean sprouts, lemon and soya sauce, this dish can be easily made in 30 minutes only. I didn’t realize how great it was to taste a bowl of Soto Ayam again and couldn’t focus my eyes away from the bowl. Mixing the correct amount of noodles, bean sprouts, rice and chicken is an art itself since the correct amount will give us the optimal taste. Smaklig måltid!
