It only feels like yesterday when I first landed here in Stockholm and I cannot believe that 9 months has just gone by so quickly. Tomorrow is my last exam and will be done with school until end of August! A loong summer break. My last exam before I finish my 1st year here at KTH is on the course ” Environmental Measuring and Monitoring”. Frankly, even though this course seems to be a little hard, it actually is one of the best courses that I have learnt. Well tried learning atleast.

With the weather playing spoil sport, my mood to study for the next exam is slowly diminishing. Oh on a totally different note, Congrats to Loreen from Sweden who won the ” Euro Vision 2012″ title for the best song ( ” Euphoria” )this year! Like how cricket is to India, I realised Euro Vision is to Europe, well atleast most part of it. People literally throng pubs, clubs to watch this grand event! In fact, I succumbed to this fever as well and ended up watching the show in Nymbe ( which is the Student Union building which host a lot of events and parties) with my friends! Some night it was.

It’s been nine months that I have been here now and I have absolutely fallen head over heels in love with this city. The days now are longer and bright and sunny! ( It’s not stupid to wear sunglasses and walk around at 9 p.m in case you wondered how bright and sunny!) With my time as a blogger coming to a halt, I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of the reader who eagerly read through my ranting and rumblings of a graduate and his stories and insights. Sitting in a class room at 8.30 and trying to get studying done for the upcoming exams and scribbling on the board is what’s keeping me busy these days!

So with the sand in my hour glass falling swiftly, I realise that I have to get back to my books and continue my studying for my course ” Natural Resources Management”.

All these times are hard and theyare making us crazy,  please don’t give up on me baby” – ( For the first time by The Script). This is the song that best describes the phase I am in right now! So until next time, Have fun and take care

Courses here are at KTH are good in a way that you can actually choose what you want to study and what you don’t. For instance, if you like a subject in a different course, you could talk to your co-ordinator and take up that course and substitute it with any of the courses that you don’t like! So while I let you ponder about the different possibilities, I’ll sign off with this ‘ The world is your oyster’! 1) System Bolaget: Probably every one in Stockholm hates the timing on these monopoly liquor stores! It’s open till 7 on weekdays and open for half a day on Saturday and Sunday. So this could be a real bummer if you have to plan a party on a weekend and forget about the timings!

2) It’s really dark in the winters and really bright (not hot) during the summers!

3) Most of the stores here close really early! So it’s not possible to go shopping or something in the evenings after 6 p.m!

4) Everyone already knows Stockholm is pretty expensive a city to live in, I don’t think I really have to stress on that now.

In about two weeks, I’ll be writing my exams too, for which I haven’t really even started studying < I hope my prof isn’t reading this :O >. So I should really stop procrastinating and get some serious studying done this weekend!

Although Having paid your student union fee, queuing goodwill not be re-activated Until You havebeen enrolled into a Royal Institute of Technology program. In order to queue at SSSB You Have Got to Be an active student – being accepted to a program does not suffice as being an active student, only enrolling does. SSSB does however give 120 days of queuing to new students, without checking student union membership or enrollance. If you started queuing before the acceptance letter from KTH, there might be a gap after the 120 free days are over Until The enrolling. So finally, after a really really tiring day of Valborg and a really long day of lab and classes today, I can finally start recuperating! Aah spring is finally here! So that means it’s time to partyyy! For those of you who don’t know what Valborg is, check this out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walpurgis_Night. So for those of you who have no clue about what to do tomorrow, check this facebook page and be part of the BIGGEST festival in Sweden!  Valborg is THE major student event of Uppsala, and the non profit or “low profit-events” the students offer should obviously be the OFFICIAL Valborg event – not the commercial events that pop up here and there

So I’m off to Uppsala early tomorrow and will be back late tuesday morning! Some party eh? So until then, take care and have a great day
