Scientific achievements and commissions

Prof. Sun’s research interests cover artificial photosynthesis, molecular catalysts for water oxidation and hydrogen generation, functional devices for total water splitting, dye sensitized, quantum dot/rod sensitized solar cells, perovskite solar cells. He has published more than 390 peer reviewed scientific papers in international journals in the fields of solar cells and solar fuels, and his work has been cited heavily during the past years with total number of citations over 16 000, and a h-index 64. He has served in many evaluation and other committees, and as reviewers for numerous research councils (USA, EU, Asian countries). He is one of the chairmen of editorial board of ChemSusChem, editorial board member of SCIENCE CHINA-Chemistry, member of International Advisory Board of Chemistry-An Asian Journal, and member of RSC Advances Advisory Board.  He has given more than 80 invited lectures during the past years in international conferences and numerous seminars in universities all over the world and has been selected as a Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researcher 2014, and listed on 2014 The World's Most Influential Scientific Minds.
