Robert Lagerström, PhD Student
KTH School of Electrical Engineering, Industrial Information and Control Systems I started my PhD studies in february 2006 at the department Industrial Information and Control Systems. My research focus is enterprise architecture and system modifiability analysis. I'm responsible for the courses "Industrial Information Systems, Systems Engineering" and "Industrial Information Systems, Case Studies". In addition to that I supervise master thesis students. Research Interests I am doing my research in the field of software systems modifiability analysis and enterprise architecture. The work being done at this moment focuses on developing and validating a framework for assessing modifiability, i.e. change costs. The overall goal of the research project is to develop a method for assessing the modifiability of complex software systems using enterprise architecture models. The information system modifiability research project is a part of the Enterprise Architecture Research Program (EARP), which focuses on Enterprise Architecture as an approach for managing the company’s software system portfolio. The goal of this program is to provide the CIO with useful management tools and methods that enable their companies to get to most out of IT. Background I have a M.Sc. in Computer Science from KTH, the Royal Institute of Technology. I was a member of the Swedish Chapter committee of INCOSE (International Council on Systems Engineering) up until 2009. I have also been responsible for the SOA network at Dataföreningen, but since 2008 I have instead been responsible for the Software Metrics network.  Publications You can find my publications here.
