Description
The increasing importance of the climate issue has made it urgent to create a quantitative policy decision support tool for evaluating policies concerning the vehicle fleet composition, so that the efficiency of such policies can be compared to other climate polices and be part of a comprehensive assessment of what climate policy that should be adopted. The Swedish vehicle register is a potentially very useable data source for estimating models that can describe effects of different policies. Previous experience also shows that this data require some processing to be used for estimation purposes. The vehicle register contains only few characteristics related to vehicles, which is why additional data sources are needed to match such characteristics to the different vehicles. Performing such a matching and aggregating the data to a useful estimation data set requires some effort. The aim of this project is to produce and test such a data set.
