Real Estate and Finance

The Bachelor's program in Real Estate and Finance is for those who wish to work in real estate economics or within the financial sector. The program reflects the general trend that the real estate market is being integrated into the financial sector. Possible future employers include banks, insurance companies, property financing institutions, and real estate companies in which job descriptions are flexible and there are many opportunities to try out different areas within the trade. The program has been created in collaboration with companies in the industry in order to meet workforce needs.

The Program

The bachelor's program offers an education primarily in economics, information technology, law, and mathematics. The curriculum builds expertise that is both broad and deep, and partly unique to KTH.

The program emphasizes the following points in particular:
*The role of the financial sector in shaping society
*Information technology as a central topic of study integrated with finance and law
*The significance of the customer’s perspective in both banking and real estate sectors
*The legal system as infrastructure for the financial sector and the real estate market.

The first five semesters of coursework are standardized and mandatory. In the sixth semester students may elect to specialize in either Real Estate or Finance.
