Diffuse dispersion and environmental fate of metal particles from consumer products from a surface/interface and colloid chemistry perspective.
These studies will initially focus on the chemical speciation and stability/mobility of silver ions, agrregates and colloids in laundry water and their transport to open waters. This work is a part of a larger project which involves identifying the effect of Ag species on microorganisms and human cells.
