Division of Energy Processes

Energy Processes - Energy research with chemical engineering approach from a system perspective

The activities at the Division of Energy Processes are concentrated on energy conversion processes. The aim is to develop environmentally friendly and energy efficient processes from a system point of view by using knowledge in chemical engineering and thermodynamics. The research is focused on four (five) main areas:

  • Energy systems
  • Rational use of bio-fuels
  • Fuel cell systems
  • Sorption cooling processes and thermal energy storage
  • Advanced power cycles
