Limited number of printouts for students

Students with an account at KTH CSC are limited to 400 pages each semester. If you wish to print more, you will need to purchase additional pages at the student office (“studentexpeditionen”) at Osquars backe 2. An email is automatically sent to you when your quota limit is reached.

Only completed prints are counted, i.e. jobs that are only spooled to the printer queue do not count. Duplex prints (doublesided prints) count as two pages.

To see how many pages remain of your quota, use the command “pkview” (in Linux and Solaris only).

General information

• Doublesided printing is standard.
• CSC's printers are only available via the local network. The WLAN (KTHOpen, Eduroam) is run by central KTH; you cannot reach the printers from it.

To print a document you keep on your private machine, you will need to transfer it to a CSC machine, and print the document from there. (Possibly using remote access.) Only employees are authorized to connect their private machines to the print service. For more information, contact Systemgruppen, the KTH CSC Systems group.
