Doctoral programmes at CSC (third cycle programs)
CSC is responsible for doctoral programmes in the subject areas of Numerical Analysis and Computer Science at both KTH and Stockholm University, and the subject areas of Human-Computer Interaction, Media Technology and Graphic Arts, and Speech and Music Communication at KTH. Each of these graduate subject areas is described in a general program me curriculum which defines prerequisites for admission and includes a description of the contents and structure of each study program me.
Research groups
Each doctoral student is tied to one of the CSC research groups, where the supervisor works.
Head of the doctoral education
Head of the doctoral education (third cycle) is professor Erik Fransén. His main responsibilities are to guarantee the quality of the education, to be the contact person towards other schools at KTH and the KTH administration, and to care for the development and observation of rules and regulations.
Program Coordinators
Each doctoral program at CSC is run by a program coordinator. Dilian Gurov is program coordinator for the Computer Science program, and Leif Dahlberg is program coordinator for the Mediated Communication program.
Administrator
Most of the student related administration for the doctoral students (admission, individual study plans, examination etc.) is handled by Birgit Ekberg-Eriksson.
