Language and Communication - what we do
The Unit for Language and Communication is responsible for courses in Swedish as a foreign language for foreign students at KTH, both as summer courses and during the academic year, as well as special courses in English for doctoral students.
We are also responisble for undergraduate language education at KTH. We offer courses in the foreign languages that are most important for Swedish engineers and in rhetoric.
The university’s third task is spreading knowledge in the wider community. The commissioned single course places or tailor made language courses given by the Unit for Language and Communication improve engineers’ language and communicative skills needed in their professional lives.
The Unit also does research in LSP Language for Special Purposes.
