Welcome to Electric Power Systems (EPS)

We welcome you to the webpage of Electric Power Systems (EPS), a department within the School of Electrical Enginering

Electric Power Systems comprise the theory and methods for generation, transmission, distribution and consumption of electric energy. Important areas are, among others, power flows, power system dynamics, reliability, new power system components, power quality and analysis of the power market.

Education

EPS offers courses on Power Systems, Wind Power, Systems, Electricity Markets, FACTS and HVDC in Power Systems, System Planning and Monte Carlo Methods. The department also offers Master Thesis projects for undergraduate students

EPS welcomes graduate students to join our group for post graduate education.

Research

The main part of the research aims at developing methods and models to be used in analysis, planning, dynamic stability and operation of electric power systems. Most of the work is either carried out in interaction with industry or inspired by problems and phenomena occurring in real systems.
