Christos Koniaris receives the IBM best student paper award at ICASSP 2010 for the paper “SELECTING STATIC AND DYNAMIC FEATURES USING AN ADVANCED AUDITORY MODEL FOR SPEECH RECOGNITION”, authored by Christos Koniaris, Saikat Chatterjee, and W. Bastiaan Kleijn. ICASSP is the main IEEE conference in the fields of signal processing and speech processing with over 1000 presented papers. SIP appears to be establishing a tradition: Ph.D. Students of Kleijn earlier won best student paper awards at ICASSP in 2008 and in 2006.
