Petko Petkov receives the best student paper award at QoMEX 2010
Petko Petkov receives the NTNU Q2S best student paper award at QoMEX 2010 for the paper “PROBABILISTIC NON-INTRUSIVE QUALITY ASSESSMENT OF SPEECH FOR BOUNDED-SCALE PREFERENCE SCORES”, authored by Petko N. Petkov and W. Bastiaan Kleijn. QoMEX 2010 is the second edition of the Quality of Multimedia Experience conference whose goal is to bring together experts in the field of subjective and objective evaluation of audio and video quality. The papers accepted for publication to the conference proceedings can be downloaded from IEEExplore.
A second paper with SIP participation at the conference - "A BAYESIAN HIERARCHICAL MIXTURE OF EXPERTS APPROACH TO ESTIMATE SPEECH QUALITY" was also nominated for the best student paper award as one of the top five rated papers. The authors of this paper are S. Iman Mossavat, Oliver Amft and Bert de Vries from the Signal Processing Systems Department of Electrical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology The Netherlands, and Petko N. Petkov and W. Bastiaan Kleijn from SIP, KTH.
