Examination

The final grade is based on two parts. The student must pass both parts to get full credit for the course.

  • Written examination (TEN1; 4.5 ECTS cr.).
  • Laboratory assignments (LAB1; 3 ECTS cr.)

The written exam will cover the lectures, the recitations and the labs.
The exam will consist of 4+8 questions worth 5 points each, 60 points total. No help material is allowed during the exam.

The obtainable grades are: F, Fx, E, D, C, B, A.
The grading of the exam is done based on the following rules:

F: If you obtain less than 15 points for questions 1-4, or you obtain less than 30 points in total.
Fx: If you obtain 30-31 points in total.

If you obtain at least 32 points in total then your grade is set based on the sum of the total points plus the bonus points obtained for the submitted homeworks
E: 32-35
D: 36-41
C:42-47
B:48-53
A:54-60.

Bonus points can only be used in the end-term exam, not the make-up exams.
