KTH Materials Laboratory
Every university now has the responsibility for its own research infrastructure. Due to this circumstance and to get a better picture of the overall materials research infrastructure at KTH, the Material Platform at KTH has set up a decentralized virtual KTH Materials Laboratory. In this laboratory, important materials characterization and processing equipment at KTH is gathered in a database and at a webpage with information about the equipment. In the future, the booking system, which is connected to the database system will possibly be activated.
This virtual laboratory is connected to three LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems):
- Electrum Laboratory LIMS covers the equipment in the Electrum Laboratory and at Albanova Nanofabrication Facility and other equipment at the KTH school of Information and Communication Technology in Kista. The Electrum Laboratory LIMS involves a booking system.
- Greenhouse Labs LIMS gathers information on equipment at the School of Chemical Science and Engineering and the tenants of Greenhouse Labs at KTH.
- KTH Materials laboratory LIMS collects information on other important equipment at KTH used for materials research (equipment from the KTH Schools ABE, ITM, SC*I and STH)
