Information for researchers

Participating researchers are expected to play an important role in a student's iTRUE experience. Regular communication and meetings will help the students better understand the problem, the expected tasks to be fulfilled, and realize their full potential. It is important the project work meets the academic standards.

Add a project proposal

Researchers, add a project proposal via this link.

Process

  • Researchers can submit a short description of potential projects and topics at the iTRUE webpage, under add a project and following the associated template.
  • Interested students will e-mail the contact person directly and express their interest including a copy of their recent CV. Students must be registered KTH students and in good academic standing.
  • The responsible for the project will select one of the students after interviewing the most fitting candidates and notify by e-mailing the iTRUE administrator ( bibbi@infra.kth.se) including the name of the person, their school and department and their CV.  This will help us keep record of the process and the students and to remove the project from the list of active projects.
  • Students who are selected for a project should submit a proposal for the planned work, prepared in consultation with their supervisor, to the iTRUE administrator, bibbi@infra.kth.se, within 2 weeks from being selected. The proposal should be 1 page long with information about the background and scope of the project and tentative schedule for completing of the project work.
  • Students should fill out the standard form for compensation (pdf 114 kB) every month with a weekly breakdown of their hours, have it signed by the supervisor as a verification of their work for that period, and submitted to the iTRUE administrator for payment processing.
  • Students should submit their weekly hours for approval by the supervisor (signature) before they give it to the iTRUE administrator.
  • Upon completion of the project a short report (of up to 10 pages) should be submitted to the advisor and the iTRUE administrator.
  • During the year there will be an iTRUE day during which students will present their research to the broader KTH community as well as representatives from outside companies and organizations.
