Mining Taxi Data to Predict Tomorrow’s Traffic

A Range Tracker for Electric Cars

BRISK Accepting Proposals for Biofuels Research
Published Apr 25, 2012The KTH-led, 26-member consortium BRISK has begun accepting proposals from researchers studying improved production methods for biofuels and thermal biomass conversion. Financed by €11 million in EU research funds, the project emphasises international mobility, inviting students and professors to conduct experiments at dozens of specialised testing facilities across Europe.

New Helmet Technology Reduces Brain Injury

Road and Rail Research Initiative Launched
Published Oct 04, 2011In a bid to improve future transportation capacity and safety in Sweden, KTH has joined the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) and the National Road and Transport Research Institute (Statens Väg- och Trafikinstitut, VTI) in announcing plans to invest a total of SEK 200 million (USD 29.1 million) on research and innovation in road and rail technology.

The KTH Professor of Signal Processing has helped create a new mobile application for safer and more efficient driving. “In the public debate, drivers are often warned about using a mobile phone while driving, but I say the opposite: your mobile phone should be seen as an extension of the car’s dashboard.”
