Architecture and the Built Environmet
Traffic and Logistics
Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), traffic congestion, rail timetable development, high speed rail, capacity analysis of transportation facilities, user perspective of public transport services, green goods transport are examples of key application areas. Simulation models, analytical models, and advanced software tools are both, developed and applied in various research projects.
Environmental Strategies Research
What can a sustainable society be like?
What can we do today to approach a sustainable development?
How can we measure environmental impacts of products, services and other systems?
These are questions that fms work with.
