KTH Research Office

KTH Royal Institute of Technology is a research intensive university where more than 60% of the total income is research related. This funding is acquired by KTH in competition with other universities and parties. In total, approximately 25% of research income is related to international funding and national funding, where collaboration with industrial or other parties is a prerequisite. Industrial collaboration is hence an important aspect of research at KTH.

For collaboration in research KTH Research Office is the main point of contact for collaborating universities, industry and public bodies.

KTH Research Office is responsible for uniting external funding by

  • ensuring the quality of applications and agreements as well as quality assuring project management related to externally funded research
  • providing support to KTH researchers, relating to funding applications, contract issues, as well as project management

KTH Research Office also provides

  • support in strategic research initiatives at KTH such as the strategic platforms, KTH centers of excellence, EIT-KICs, and other strategic initiatives
  • active support in research intelligence and research policy monitoring
