Model Based Development of Embedded Systems, 29th September 2008
The 1st ICES Seminar, Model Based Development of Embedded Systems - 29th September 2008
The topic of this very first ICES seminar was model-based development (MBD), also frequently referred to as model-driven development. Formalized descriptions amenable to computer manipulation (models) are applied for many purposes during various stages of system development. The role of MBD includes the use of models for the purposes of communication, documentation, analysis and as a basis for construction and further synthesis.
This seminar featured snapshots from the following viewpoints of model-based development (MBD):
* Structured information and requirements management
* Architectural design
* Function/behavior design and code generation
* Model exchange and UML-related standards
followed by discussions and a panel debate involving all invited speakers.
