The department of Machine design consists of four subdivisions that together covers the product development process in a broad sense. Each division specializes on different areas of research and provide extensive education in their respective fields.

Mechatronics and Embedded Control Systems offers new possibilities and freedom in design of  flexible, innovative, intelligent and user friendly products, machines and systems.

System and Component Design (SKD)

Research and education in Systems and component design is based on a holistic systems perspective on technical development. The focus is on mechanical components, component interfaces and component integration into systems, products and services.
