Mechatronics are building Robyn robots
The Mechatronics unit are currently building a number Robyn robots. The first will be completed in May, with a larger version in december. This is done as a tribute to the artist Robyn, who sings about robots, technology, and it is hoped that this will create a greater interest in Mechatronics - and by extension perhaps give us more female Mechatronics technicians.
Robyn herself, by e-mail, said that she wants to come to KTH and follow the work during the spring. She has been invited to select one of seven prototypes in May, which we then make a sharp version of this fall, and then will forward it to her to use on stage or similar.
