Staff Training Week
Within the Lifelong Learning Programme/Erasmus, KTH welcomes administrative staff from partner universities. The purpose is to network, build new relationships and to inspire for further development within the international education area. KTH will organize a staff training week with this focus in April, 2011.
Objectives
Teachers, professors and administrative staff members have important roles in the process of internationalizing the universities. What other institutions do can inspire and help in developping skills, networking is one of them.
This trainig week will offer different examples of what can be done and what kind of preparation a university can provide all kind of staff, but also students, with.
Target groupe, suitable background and language of communication
The participants should be members of staff from KTH partner universities, where an existing and active LLLP exchange agreement or project is in place. All participants will have a possibility to visit the school/department of relevance during the week and these visits are to be organized before registration.
Applying staff members should have an interest in and experience of working within international education. Also advised is to want to develop a professional network and to get inspired by colleagues from European universities.
English is the language of communication.
Dates and location
The training week will take place between April 11 and 15, 2011, mainly at KTH Campus Valhallavägen 77, Stockholm, Sweden.

Arrival and how to get to KTH
Stockholm International Airport, Arlanda, is situated 44 kilometres north of Stockholm. The airport transfer bus departs every 5-10 minutes from the arrival hall and takes you to the Central Station in 40 minutes (SEK 110). Arlanda Express, the high-speed train, departs every 15 minutes from Arlanda and takes you to Stockholm Central station in 20 minutes (SEK 240).
RyanAir flies to Skavsta airport. The airport transfer coach will take you to
Stockholm in about 90 minutes (SEK 110).
The Central Station, Centralen, is the heart of the Stockholm transport network and connects long-distance and commuter trains, underground trains, buses and taxis.
To get to KTH, take the red metro line towards Mörby centrum, station Tekniska högskolan. By taxi: ask the driver to take you to KTH International Relations Office, Drottning Kristinas väg 6.
