International networks
In order to promote international cooperation and to provide students and staff with a platform for international exchange, KTH actively participates in various prestigious academic networks.
BALTECH
BALTECH is a University Consortium in Science and Technology with KTH and the Universities of Technology in Helsinki, Kaunas, Linköping, Lund, Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius as members. The consortium is governed by a Rectors' meeting and a Board consisting of representatives of the Partner Universities.
The objective of this consortium is to be a strategic resource for wider partnership and closer cooperation between technical universities in the Baltic Sea region. BALTECH is focusing on scientific and educational cooperation with a number of jointly developed MSc-programs, student exchange and a research cooperation network in the area of "Total Sustainable Development around the Baltic Sea ". CESAER
CESAER (The Conference of European Schools for Advanced Engineering Education and Research) is an association of some 50 leading European engineering universities. Within CESAER the members can act on a higher policy level thereby influencing decision makers on issues relevant to engineering education and research.
CLUSTER
CLUSTER (Consortium Linking Universities of Science and Technology for Education and Research) is a network of twelve European universities committed to enhancing the quality of science and engineering education and research. Cluster provides close collaboration on presidential as well as departmental level. The eleven university presidents within Cluster have signed an agreement on mutual recognition of BSc, MSc and PhD degrees, providing a truly European Area of Higher Education.
KTH is currently holding the chairmanship of the network.
Deans Forum
KTH is a member of the prestitious network Deans Forum. Apart from KTH, the network consists of University of Tokyo, MIT, University of California, Berkeley, ETH Zürich and Imperial College. The University of Tokyo initiated the network in 2010 in order to launch a partnership at a global level on issues common to the technical universities’ futures.

ECATA
ECATA (European Consortium for Advanced Training in Aeropspace) is a network that consists of eight technical universities in Europe. The purose is to cooperate with the european aeronautics industry and contribute to the competence development and further education within the industry sector. Ecata Jr offers opportunities for students to do degree projects in the aeronautics industry within multinational team projects.
Magelhâes - SMILE
The Magelhâes - SMILE network links South American universities to European counterparts in order to exchange students.
Nordic Centre, China
The purpose with Nordic Centre is to promote a closer association and understanding between the Nordic countries and China through common research- and educational activities. This is done through offering a platform to initiate and develop activities of mutual interest. The network is also a meeting place for researchers and students. Partners in the network are the big Nordic universities. The center is situated in University of Fudan, Shanghai, China.
NORDTEK
NORDTEK is a network that facilitates cooperation between a number of universities of technology in Northern Europe. Its main focus is on bilateral exchanges between the universities in the network in a manner much similar to the Erasmus exchanges.
Pegasus
Pegasus (Partnership of a European Group of Aeronautics and Space UniversitieS) is a network that aims to offer itself as the European portal for higher education services in aerospace.
T.I.M.E.
T.I.M.E. (Top Industrial Managers for Europe) is a network dedicated to the issuing of double diplomas. This attracts highly qualified students and offers them a bi-cultural education, e.g. three years at their home university and an additional two years at a host university.
WGLN 2 - Wallenberg Global Learning Network
The WGLN 2 is a targeted grant-giving organization supporting projects
within an international network of university communities in the U.S and
Sweden. These communities represent faculty and researchers who are
committed to projects with a purpose to improve the teaching and
