Contact persons and student counselling for Master's students

The aim of student counselling is to function as support for individual students during their studies at KTH.

Students must receive sufficient information, as well as being provided with qualified counselling, in order to become aware of their own resources and, consequently, make well informed choices about their studies and professions.

All student counsellors at KTH are bound by a pledge of confidentiality in accordance with chapter 7, section 9 of the Secrecy Act, and will on no condition disclose information about a student's personal circumstances to a third party without the student's explicit consent.

We answer questions about studies

KTH provides qualified student counselling either through a central student counsellor, who works on a more general basis, or through the student counsellor connected to the programme at the specific school.

For Master's programmes taught in English, the programme coordinator has the equivalent role.

All contacts with a student counsellor or a programme coordinator are confidential.

Student couselling on a central level

International students may contact the international study advisor, operating on a central level, if they want to discuss their study situation in general. Many students face difficulties at some point during their studies. They may experience lack of motivation, feel stressed, have difficulties in planning their studies, etc., and these issues can be discussed with the international study advisor.

The international study advisor can also provide information about the Master's programmes on a general level to prospective students who are considering studying at KTH.
