International Relations
The International Relations (IR) group supports KTH’s internationalisation, encouraging international mobility for inbound and outbound students, teachers and administrators, and cooperation with partner universities outside Sweden.
IR supports KTH management and schools in international projects and initiatives, and supports partnerships with selected universities and university networks. This includes external analysis and monitoring, and management of ranking issues. IR coordinates the Advisory Group for International Issues.
IR identifies, applies for, administers and tracks externally funded scholarships, exchange programmes and other cooperation programmes. In addition, the group coordinates, develops, initiates and implements cooperative agreements with other universities, including dual diplomas and student exchange activities.
IR is charged with increasing student exchanges, with a particular focus on activities conducted in collaboration with KTH’s schools aimed at increasing the number of outbound students studying abroad. IR works with the Student Recruitment group to increase the number of international programme students, particularly at Master’s level.
