Student identification
KTH cooperates with THS and their supplier of Student Union cards and student discounts so that all KTH's students will recieve a student identification card and be eligible for student discounts during the 2011/2012 academic year regardless of whether they chose to become members of the Student Union or not.
Valid student identification cards at KTH for the 2011/2012 academic year
There are four kinds of student identification cards for the 2011/2012 academic year:
- Student identification cards with general student discounts - for part time students that aren't members of the Student Union.
- Student identification cards with general student discounts and travel discounts - for full time students that aren't members of the Student Union.
- Student Union cards with general student discounts - for part time students that are members of the Student Union.
- Student Union cards with general student discounts and travel discounts - for full time students that are members of the Student Union.

Usage
Bring your student identification card with you when you need to verify that you're a student, e.g. when you use KTH's computer labs or want to benefit from student discounts.
The student identification card is used together with a valid photo identification.
Card distribution
Production and distribution of the cards will start when the students are registered at KTH, around the 1st of September, with the goal of getting them to the students as soon as possible.

Support and answers to questions regarding student identification cards
The Student Union Office (see www.ths.kth.se) has a reception desk for questions about both Student Union cards and student identification cards. They can help with certificates for SL discounts and certificates that show you're a student if needed, as well as guide you in obtaining a replacement card.
