Read your e-mail

There are different ways to access your e-mail.
Mail on exchange server is used by all students registered at KTH.

Webmail

Webmail is available from all computers that have a connection to Internet through a web browser.

Connection to the e-mail server with an e-mail client

To read your e-mail you can use an e-mail client such as Outlook Express, Eudora, Netscape, Thunderbird for example.

There is some parameters that has to be entered into the settings for these programs:

  • Server type: IMAP
  • Incoming server name: webmail.kth.se port 993
  • Outgoing server name: smtp.kth.se port 465
  • SSL has to be activated dor both outgoing and incoming communication
  • Authentication for sending has to be activated

You can, more or less, use any client on your pc to read your KTH-email. We recommend however that you use someone of the ones below. Part's in order to that they are well-tried and part's in order that IT-helpdesk easier can help you if you use a client that we have experience of.
