How to read your e-mail
There is different ways to access your e-mail.
Mail on exchange server is used by all students registered at KTH (there can be some additional local e-mail systems also):
Webmail
Webmail is available from all computers that have a connection to Internet through a web browser.

Connection to the e-mail server with an e-mail client
To read your e-mail you can use an e-mail client such as Outlook Express, Eudora, Netscape, Thunderbird for example.
There is some parameters that has to be entered into the settings for these programs:
- Server type: IMAP
- Incoming server name: webmail.kth.se port 993
- Outgoing server name: smtp.kth.se port 465
- SSL has to be activated dor both outgoing and incoming communication
- Authentication for sending has to be activated
Password
You are not allowed to save your user credentials from KTH at any other email supplier such as Gmail or similar.
You have accepted this condition in your user agreement between you and KTH that you signed.
