Services at KTH
We provide you with a full range of support and service throughout your time at KTH. Here is a summary of what KTH can offer you as a student.
International Student Desk
All prospective and current international students are welcome to contact or visit the International Student Desk for assistance regarding practial matters such as information about the arrival and introduction programme, banking options, insurance, health and dental care as well as other issues concerning moving to Sweden as a student.
Accommodation
KTH Accommodation assists non-EU Master’s students and Erasmus Mundus and EIT students in finding accommodation during their studies at KTH. Exchange students are also assisted in finding accommodation to some extent. They also provide helpful tips on how to find accommodation on your own.
Libraries
The main library at KTH, KTHB, is a popular meeting place for students with generous opening hours. In addition to a large selection of books, periodicals and newspapers, the library also offers services such as work stations, study rooms and a café.

The campuses in Kista, Haninge and Södertälje have local libraries.
In order to borrow books you must have a library card, which can be obtained free of charge from one of the libraries. Bring your letter of admission and ID (i.e. passport) to prove that you are a student at KTH.
Academic Resource Center
Academic Resource Centre welcomes students who wish to develop skills in subjects such as mathematics, scientific writing or information retrieval. You can also get career coaching and advice on how to develop your study skills. Follow the link below to find out more about their services.

Career Service
KTH Career aims to help KTH students with career planning. They act as a link between KTH, employers, industry and KTH students. Their services include various events and individual guidance, such as CV-feedback.
Student Health Service
At the Student Health Service you can receive counselling and support for psychological problems related to your studies by a doctor, nurse or a social counsellor. The staff is bound by professional confidentiality and the services are free of charge.
Students with disabilities
KTH strives to offer students with special needs the support necessary to enable them to carry out their studies on the same terms as other students.
Please note that in the case of exchange studies, the sending university is responsible for any additional costs for supportive measures.
Religious matters and contemplation/spiritual rooms at KTH
You are welcome to contact the chaplaincy if you need someone to talk to someone, if you have any queries regarding religious matters or if you would like to know more about the Church of Sweden. The chaplaincy can also put you in contact with chaplains of other faith traditions if you wish to talk to someone of your own faith.
There are contemplation rooms available for prayer and meditation at the KTH Campus, KTH Haninge and at KTH Kista. The rooms are accessible by the KTH access card, given to all students upon registration.

Meals
The campus restaurants offer meals to reasonable prices, approximately SEK 60. Many students bring their own food, which they can heat in microwave ovens provided by the Student union or the Student sections/chapters.
E-mail account and access to computer labs
As a KTH student you will receive a personal e-mail account. The account is administered through your coordinator and provided upon registration at KTH. You will also get a key card so that you have access to the computer labs 24-hours a day.
