KTH Royal Institute of Technology (coordinating institution)

KTH Royal Institute of Technology is the largest, oldest and most internationally diverse technical university in Sweden. It is ranked as one of the leading technical universities in Europe, thanks to its reputation for pioneering research, engineering genius and science on the cutting edge. KTH’s schools offer a wide variety of courses in engineering and architecture, including a large number of courses and Master’s programmes in English.

KTH is primarily a research university, thus the courses always include the latest developments within any given field.

Today, the university houses 17 000 students and each year KTH welcomes some 3 500 international students. Approximately 100 countries are represented. KTH cooperates with leading technical universities worldwide, in terms of student exchange and research projects. KTH has extensive international research and educational exchange programmes with leading universities worldwide.

The beautiful main campus is located in central Stockholm, within walking distance of almost everything the city has to offer. The School of Information and Communication Technology is located in Kista north of Stockholm, while the School of Technology and Health is located in Haninge, Flemingsberg and Södertälje, south of Stockholm. In Kista, KTH collaborates with Stockholm University within the framework of the IT University – Sweden’s largest resource in information technology.

TU Berlin

The internationally renowned Technische Universität Berlin is located in Germany’s capital city at the heart of Europe.

Delft University of Technology (TU Delft)

Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands is a modern university with a rich tradition. Its eight faculties and over 40 English-language Master programmes are at the forefront of technological development, contributing to scientific advancement in the interests of society.
Ranked among the top universities of technology in Europe (#17, THES 2008) TU Delft’s excellent research and education standards are backed by outstanding facilities, research institutes and research schools. TU Delft maintains close links with (inter)national industry, a strategic alliance contributing to the relevance of its academic programmes and career prospects for its graduates.

The student body is made up of over a 100 nationalities. The university has partnerships with more than thirty universities all over the world, enabling students and researchers to increase their international experience through cooperation and exchange. Master's degrees in Engineering Science

TU Delft offers some 32 English-language MSc programmes within 8 faculties. The programme duration is two years. The first year comprises theoretical study, assignments and laboratory work. The second year is largely devoted to thesis work, which involves participating in one of the university's advanced research or design projects or taking an internship or research assignment within a company.

Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen- Nürnberg, Germany

The University Erlangen-Nurnberg was founded in 1743 and is the second largest university of southern Germany. Nearly all branches of study are available. Erlangen is economically coined by the business concern Siemens as well as by Erlangen's worldwide reputation as internationally acknowledged medical city ("Medical Valley"). About half of all university employees works in one of the numerous university clinics.

The Faculty of Engineering Sciences which includes all offered engineering sciences was founded on an own separate campus in 1966. It combines many advantages which makes the Faculty an interesting study place for students and scholars.

It is closely located to successful and technic-oriented enterprises and therefore provides a good starting point for cooperation and throughout new impulses for innovative, application-oriented technical developments.

Erlangen-Nurnberg

The Faculty of Engineering disposes of a multitude of modern labs and shops (chemistry labs, high pressure labs, wind tunnel, robotics laboratories, graphic/virtual reality laboratory, mechanic and electronic shops). In short: everything is available that makes the heart of an engineer beat faster.

The technical institutes of Erlangen have a high reputation. Numerous professors can show awards and own patents. The Mp3-format for instance was developed in Erlangen in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits.

The Faculty of Engineering has many relations to well-known universities abroad. The closeness to the Siemens Group and various Fraunhofer Institutes constitutes good perspectives for a successful professional life as well.
