Working towards establishing Ericsson’s leading technologies

Wireless systems

Alexander Danilin

Master’s degree in Wireless Systems, Price Manager at Ericsson AB

“After my Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, I wanted to explore opportunities outside of my home in Russia and study for my Master’s somewhere in Europe. Sweden and KTH ranked high on the list for an excellent education in my field of telecommunications, so KTH was a natural choice. My degree in Wireless Systems really exceeded my expectations; it was very demanding and intensive, but provided me with a well-rounded education – both theoretically and practically. It was also a perfect bridge to the industry and the job I currently have at Ericsson.

Right now I have finished Ericsson’s Global Multimedia Trainee programme, and work as price manager with the aim of better establishing Ericsson’s leading technologies around the world. I’ve worked in India and the U.S. and the markets are very different and the challenges of both are very different. This work is interesting and essential, as telecommunications play a critical role in how our societies function. My training at KTH gave me the necessary skills to work in a variety of roles, and I’m very happy that I chose the university.”
