The programme offers three specialisation tracks: Integrated Product Development (IPU) that focuses on the organisation, leadership and performance of product development processes in large teams, Industrial Design Engineering (IDE) that focuses on the functional design and communicative aspects of the product in relation to user and market, and Product Innovation (PI) that combines product development with business development, marketing, and strategy.

Programme outline

The programme offers competence in several disciplines such as product innovation, eco-design, human-product interaction, service design, group dynamics, visualisation and communication of design proposals, and prototyping. The programme consists of a mixture of basic compulsory courses, optional courses and track specific courses. There are good opportunities to create your own mix of courses to match your interests and career plans. The track specific courses are primarily based on project assignments carried out in groups. The projects are usually done in co-operation with a company or organisation that provides a real life task and setting.
