KTH course packages for Science without Borders
As the largest, oldest and highest ranked technical university in Sweden, KTH welcomes Brazilian students to apply to our 29 course packages, exclusively offered to Science without Borders scholarship holders. The course packages will be given in English and correspond to 60 credits/ECTS (one academic year of full-time studies).

What is Science without Borders?
Science without Borders is a scholarship programme primarily funded by the Brazilian federal government. The programme seeks to strengthen and expand the initiatives of science and technology through international mobility of Brazilian students and researchers.
The primary goal is to assist 101 thousand Brazilian students and researchers to study at top universities worldwide until 2014. KTH offers 29 course packages to a maximum of approximately 190 Brazilian students.

General Conditions
The period of the scholarship is up to 12 months. It is a non-degree program, as students will return to complete their degrees in Brazil.
Students will be selected through calls for proposals, which will be announced by CAPES and CNPq. Brazilian universities will submit their top students selected on a merit basis which meet the requirements for each type of scholarship. The candidates will also have to prove they have enough knowledge of the language required.
General Admission Requirements
The student must have completed at least 60% of the studies planned for his/her degree program at the time for the planned beginning of the scholarship period.
English proficiency
Applicants must provide proof of their English language proficiency which is most commonly established through an internationally recognised test. See full details for English requirements (equivalent to English "B" required).
TOEFL
- Paper-based test: total result of 575 (written test, minimum grade 4.5)
- Internet-based test: total result of 90 (written test, minimum grade 20)
IELTS
- A minimum overall mark of 6.5, with no section lower than 5.5 (only Academic Training accepted)
University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations (Cambridge ESOL)
- Certificate in Advanced English
- Certificate of Proficiency
- Diploma of English Studies
