Spiros III
Spiros is a student project at KTH that started in 2006. The goal is to design and construct an urban car that will compete in the Urban Concept class of the Shell Eco Marathon, held in Lausitz south of Berlin in Germany.
The Spiros III team of 2010 included ten mechatronics students, six chemistry students, two electrical students and one student from lightweight. Three of them were exchange students.
This year's team is going to integrate a whole new the power train which is based on hydrogen powered fuel cell. The fuel cell charges a super capacitor which drives an electrical motor.
