    Jian Chen from China came to School of Information and Communication Technology for PHD studies after master studies at Fudan university in Shanghai. Now he has defended his PhD thesis "Low Noise Oscillator in ADPLL toward Direct-to-RF All-digital PolarTransmitter" and is excited to make his research useful in the industry.

    Nima Dokoohaki from Iran came to School of Information- and Communication Technology for master studies in software engineering of distributed systems. He continued with PhD studies and now he has defended his PhD thesis Trust-based user profiling.

    Liang Rong received his master degree at School of Information- and Communication Technology in 2006. A year later in 2007 he came back to Kista for doctoral studies and now he has defended his PhD Thesis "All Digital Polar Transmitter Design for Software Defined Radio - Architecture and Low Power Circuit Implementations"

  • Mohammed Hamid in the area of Cognitive radio and opportunistic spectrum access

    Mohammed Hamid from Sudan got his Master degree from Blekinge tekniska högskola in Sweden. After that he came to KTH for PhD studies in the area of cognitive radio and dynamic spectrum access. Now he has defended his licentiate thesis On Finding Spectrum Opportunities in Cognitive Radios: Spectrum Sensing and Geo-locations Database.

    Internettrafiken ökar dramatiskt och ställer krav på utrymme, hastighet och energiförbrukning. Nu satsar Acreo Swedish ICT och KTH 10 miljoner kronor på ett gemensamt laboratorium för optisk höghastighetskommunikation.

    Majid Mohseni had been doing research in magnetic sensors before he came to KTH to continue his PhD subject in spintronics. Now he has defended his PhD thesis “Spin valves and spin-torque oscillators with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy”.

    Tillsammans med Martin Altinkaya gjorde Saman Ahmedi 2001 examensarbetet ”SIP in an Interconnector and Service Provider Role” som har blivit den mest nedladdade publikationen I KTH:s publikationsdatabas DiVA. – Det känns så klart jättekul att ligga bakom den mest nedladdade publikationen på KTH, säger Saman Ahmedi som nu jobbar som ”Nordic IT Infra Manager” på Toshiba.

  • Du Ho Kang is designing low cost indoor wireless systems

    Du Ho Kang from Sout Korea came to School of ICT in 2010 for PhD studies. Now he has defended his licentiate thesis on the topic Cost Effective Interference Management in Ultra-dense Hotspot Mobile Broadband Systems.

  • Carenet pristagare vid Vinnovakonferens

    Forskningsprojektet Carenet har vunnit pris för ”bästa nytta” vid Vinnovas konferens för sitt program ”Smartare, snabbare, konvergerade lösningar”. Carenet koordineras av Networks Systems Lab på avdelningen Kommunikationssystem vid ICT-skolan och är ett samarbete med Karolinska Institutet.

  • School of ICT alumni awarded at Swedish business awards

    Augustinas and Kristijonas Vizbaras from Lithuania took their Masters degree from the Nanotechnology program at School of ICT in 2009. Together with their brother Dominykas Vizabaras they started Brolis Semiconductors in 2011. Less than a year later they received the Young Entrepreneur of the year award at Swedish business awards in Vilnius. We have asked Augustinas Vizbaras a few questions about the prize and what he and his brothers are doing now.

    Fredagen den 21 september var en grupp studenter och personal från Todai, University of Tokyo på besök på Skolan för informations- och kommunikationsteknik. Det japanska universitetet är väl ansett och ett viktigt partneruniversitet för KTH.

  • Hållbarhet och ICT diskuterades på årets SEB12

    SEB12 är en internationell konferens för Sustainability in Energy and Buildings som gick av stapeln i början av september. Koneferensens huvudfokus är energi och byggnader men Anne Håkansson, docent vid ICT-skolan som var med och arrangerade konferensen berättar att det också finns ett stort focus på ICT-området.

  • Muhammet Toprak får bidrag för grönt projekt
