Samhällsekonomi

The Division of Economics organizes and carries out education and studies of economics with a special focus on entrepreneurship, innovation, productivity and growth. The ambition is to provide a deeper understanding of the interdependencies between innovations and economic development. Special attention is paid to how R&D and innovation may influence economic growth, and to develop models and methods to examine such influences and to provide policy-relevant characterizations of innovation processes. The research is oriented towards problems that can be approached by means of quantitative methods and that allow for collaboration with international research centres.
