About the seminar
Alison will outline the approach taken at Anglia Ruskin to make sustainability part of all students experience. She will discuss the various levers used to engage senior managers, academic and support staff in this agenda, and highlight some of the barriers or inhibitors and some of the methods used to overcome these barriers. Alison will discuss specifically how she has been working across the University to uncover the intersection points of existing curricula and sustainability and the methods employed to ensure these are recognised and built upon by both staff and students.
Alison's research is focusing on what Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) means at Anglia Ruskin and how it reaches students through the curriculum and through other parts of their interaction with the University. Alison is also interested in how ESD can become part of an organisation's transformational change to a more sustainable business.
