About me

I have an open PhD position with application deadline March 18, 2024, see more on the page "PhD students and posdocs - and new openings"-link to the right.

I am a professor in Numerical Analysis at the math department of KTH. The office address is Lindstedsvägen 25, room number 3534.

Research Interests

My research mainly concerns the development of numerical methods for the solution of PDEs. One current specific focus area is boundary integral methods for fluid flows involving particles and drops, and with that both development and analysis of important components such as fast methods to accelerate the computations and numerical quadrature techniques for evaluation of singular and nearly singular integrals.

I am active within the focus area Micro and Complex flows of the Linne FLOW Centre at KTH. This working group is joining researchers at KTH performing theoretical, numerical and experimental work within this exciting field. Our research strategy can be found here.

I am active within the Swedish e-Science Research Center (SeRC) through the core community in Numerical Analysis. In 2012, we initiated a new project in collaboration with the Molecular Simulation community. The project concerns fast methods for electrostatic calculation in molecular dynamic simulations.

The reason for this secrecy was to protect the members of the committee from personal or political pressure from outside. Invitations to lecture at the International Congresses carry such high prestige that individuals or groups have always made efforts to influence the decisions of the committee.
