Aim and objectives

The over-all aim is to establish a theoretical and computational (DEM) framework to investigate the mechanical behavior of stone-based infrastructure materials. The framework established is based on fundamental micromechanical principles and capable of capturing the response of stone-based materials at large deformations arising in many situations of engineering importance.
