About me

I am a Professor in Applied Physics at KTH and I am working in the Biomedical and X-ray Physics group. More information about my research group can be found here

I studied physics in Germany in Osnabrück and Göttingen and recieved my PhD in 2002 from the Technical University Berlin. However, my PhD work was performed at the Max-Born-Institute for Nonlinear Optics and Short Pulse Spectroscopy. At that time I was mainly interested in laser plasma x-ray sources, but as a Postdoc I shifted my attention towards x-ray optics and x-ray nano-imaging, which is what I still do today.

During 2014-2015 I worked as a pedagogical development leader for the three physics departments at KTH. Since 2017 I am director of undergraduate studies at the Department of Applied Physics.
