The Axel Ruhe Conference in Numerical Linear Algebra: Theory, Algorithms and Applications

In celebration of his seventieth birthday.

Axel Ruhe was a professor in Numerical Analysis at KTH between 2002 to 2007 and are since then emeritus. He took his PhD in Lund 1970 and worked as professor in Umeå University 1970-1983 and at Chalmers in Göteborg 1983-2001. Axel's main research field is numerical linear algebra, and in particular eigenvalue problems. He has also worked in optimization.

Bo Kågström, Professor in Numerical Analysis and Parallel Computing at Umeå University.
