Learning outcomes

For the research student after the course to be able to search research literature, write relevant overviews, formulate a research problem, write a memo for a thesis and critically, study, evaluate and constructively comment on a text.

Course main content

Ph.D. training as a process, formalities and rules surrounding the Ph.D. programme and exams, individual study  plan, departmental service, tools for search of research literature, research overviews, research problems, minimum requirements for theses, thesis memo, grant applications, management of research projects.

Eligibility to be accepted in the graduate programme History of Technology.
