The main outcome of the course is to provide an interdisciplinary knowledge of the interaction between humans and the built environment based on the concepts of architecture for all, usability, inclusion and accessibility. After the course, the participants shall be able to analyze various kinds of built environments in terms of usability, inclusion and accessibility, and to suggest measures to improve the interaction between different kinds of users and the built environment.

Learning outcomes
The main outcome of the course is to provide an interdisciplinary knowledge of the interaction between humans and the built environment based on the concepts of architecture for all, usability, inclusion and accessibility. After the course, the participants shall be able to analyze various kinds of built environments in terms of usability, inclusion and accessibility, and to suggest measures to improve the interaction between different kinds of users and the built environment.
Course main content
Four lectures give an interterdisciplinary overview of the basic concepts architecture for all, usability, inclusion and accessibility and of the interaction between humans and the built environment. Three seminars deal with the obligatory course literature. An environmental assessment is carried out invdividually. An individual essay is discussed at a final seminar.
Disposition
The teaching is concentrated to whole days, which are spread over the semester and located at KTH.
Eligibility
- 60 university credits within the fields of architecture, built environment and caring
- Documented proficiency in Swedish B and English A or equivalent

- MOM2 - Essay, 2.5 credits, grade scale: P, F
Requirements for final grade
The course contains two moments:
MOM1, Lectures, seminars and exercises, 5hp, grade P,F
MOM2, Essay, 2,5hp, grade P,F
For final grade, both moments have to be passed, and 80% attendance at all tuition is required.
