Lärandemål

 The project is aimed to give students insights and experiences in scientific research. Through a project work, students will acquire skills to analyze a new scientific problem, find a solution and evaluate the solution, present the project work and the obtained results in oral and written form.    

Kursens huvudsakliga innehåll

Develop a project plan where the degree project's background, objectives, planned work and preliminary time schedule are described. Carry out the the planned work. Document the project work and the obtained results in a master thesis. Present and defend the project work and the thesis in a public seminar.

Behörighet

In general the rule is that the main part of the studies, at least 60 credits should be ready before the thesis work is allowed to start. The examinator must make sure that the student has focused in the relevant area (see last paragraph) and that the main part of the program is ready before the thesis work starts. Exceptions can be made by the person responsible for basic education. The masters thesis should normally be written during the last term of the program.
