Content and learning outcomes

Course contents

The course is conducted as a small research project on legal or economic real property issues.The course procedure includes the following items: Seminars on research methods, literature search and report writing. Information collection, writing of the document, oral presentation, and opposition on other degree projects. The work is undertaken either individually or by groups of two. Continous supervision during the period.

Intended learning outcomes

The course participants shall after completion, inter alia, be able to:

  • Apply relevant knowledge and skills acquired in the main field to a given problem.
  • Within a given framework, independently analyse and discuss issues, and solve comprehensive problems on the undergraduate level in the field of study.
  • Reflect on, evaluate and critically examine their own and other's scientific achievements.
  • Document and present their work orally and in writing, satisfying requirements on structure, formalities and linguistic correctness.
  • Identify their need for further knowledge, and take responsibility for developing their own level of competence.

Literature and preparations

Specific prerequisites

The major portion of the studies, at least 120 credits including 60 credits at the first level in the main field, must be completed before the thesis work may begin. The thesis shall normally be conducted during the last term of the first level education.
