Content and learning outcomes

Course contents

Basic knowledge of internet concepts such as protocol, datagram and internetworking. Socket programming, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. HTTP servers. PHP, Java EE. PKI, JSSE, SSL/TLS.

Intended learning outcomes

After passed course, you should be able to

· describe Internet's fundamental structure and its most important protocols,

· explain the structure and function of the HTTP protocol

· develop dynamic web pages

· develop serverside programs with Java NodeJS

· use encryption with JSSE

to have possibility to

· design simple client/server applications with Java NodeJS PHP and Python for web.

Literature and preparations

Specific prerequisites

For non-program students, 90 credits are required, of which 45 credits have to be within mathematics or information technology. Furthermore English B or the equivalent and Swedish B or the equivalent are required.

Recommended prerequisites

Basic computer science knowledge corresponding to DD1320, DD1321, DD1325, DD1327, DD1338, DD2325 eller ID1020.

Java programming knowledge corresponding to DD1337, DD1380, DD1385 eller DD2310.
